Educational materials

From climate liziero

One of the most important focal points for misinformation is the school. Companies (including oil companies) run programs aimed at schools. Media outlets like Brasil Paralelo have been making strong inroads into classrooms. Many Geopanoramas materials are used in class.

How to do it?

Turn Geopanoramas content into educational materials for classroom use. This adaptation is important so that teachers don’t have to improvise when working with the content. By transforming the content into educational materials, we can produce books with activities, teaching guidelines, and transmedia content (for example, turning a video into an infographic and activities). Another complementary path is to provide online teacher training for the use of these materials with students.

Case study:

I developed a prototype educational material on a just energy transition, since this topic is not addressed in conventional teaching materials. The material was delivered to 500 teachers through a group organized on Geopanoramas. Due to lack of funding, the material is online only, without layout consistent with educational materials or the use of more engaging resources such as infographics.
